I am the headmistress of Vestjyllands Højskole, (The Folk Highscool of western part of Denmark) and I am glad, you have found interest in our school.

We are a modern Danish Folk highschool, located in the western part af Denmark with a marvelous view over Ringkøbing Fjord.

We always have a group of foreign students and everytime they bring new kinds of inspiration and open our eyes for the world outside Denmark. I think this mix of Danish and foreign students gives a much more rich life to the school.

We are known for our engaged and highly competent teachers, our good ecological food and our focus on creating an atmosphere for social interaction.

Being on a folk highschool of course means to dive into one or more of the creative subjects of the school, but we find it just as important, that you participate in the social life. Folk highschool is about meeting other people and discussing new topics, hopefully opening your eyes to a new world. We create our school with you as a student and our highly qualified teachers. Or you could maybe better say, that we are humans who meet and interact to have an impact on each other.
